Sakura Note, For The Nintendo DS

By Luke Plunkett
Marvelous Entertainment‘s creative experiments with Nintendo platforms just keep on keepin’ on, with the release later this year of Sakura Note, an adventure game for the DS.
Not much is known about the game other than the fact it’s an adventure title and is set in a small town, where a young girl is being haunted by ghosts. But plenty is known about the game’s staff, which includes Akira Ueda (Contact), Nobuo Uematsu & Hideo Minaba (Final Fantasy), Kazushige Nojima (Kingdom Hearts) and Kenichiro Takagi (Half-Minute Hero).
Can’t wait to see more, especially if the Contact-esque art style in the image above (from the game’s teaser site) makes its way through to the rest of the game.

New Game LEVEL 5?

A couple of picture from level 5 (you know those gut who made Professor Layton) shows up on the web today. All we know is that it’s a new game for ds and they are working with a game company called Brown Brownie.
Kotaku says
“Japanese developer/publisher Level 5 have unveiled a brand new title today. Called Fantasy Life, it’s a game for the DS that looks a little, well, familiar.
Anyone who’s played Mother 3 will look at these screenshots, look at Mother 3 and say “oh my, theydo look similar”. As well they might! BecauseBrownie Brown, a studio that helped HAL on Mother 3, are developing the game. Which is awesome. Know what else is awesome? Nobuo Uematsu is doing the music for the game.
Fantasy Life is a laid-back RPG that, from early descriptions (there’s more details to come), sees you creating an avatar then just…walking around making friends and doing odd jobs. Sounds like an RPG made up of naught but side quests. Which sounds great!”

I have to admit when I saw this game in just the picture advertisement across the internet I was a little wondering why they were making a big deal out of this. It seemed to be another drawn to life game(Boy was I wrong). Back to my story…so as I was searching through youtube.com for videos and such I came across the Scribblenauts trailer and now I believe this will be a very very good game. Not necessarily for it’s new type of puzzle gameplay but for plain uniqueness. Check out the official trailer.
At first I was sure there were limitations, but when I read you can summon anything(and I mean anything) people like God and Death. I have to admit it peaked my interest and then I found out about vs mode for just a moment in time a twinkle was in my eye.
Scribblenauts is due to hit store selves September 15, 2009
